Flag Football 2015

Roman also played flag football which only added to the eye twitching. Many a Wednesday nights were spent hopping from the church, to the football field and back to the church again. Or, from Piano lessons to a soccer game then off to a football game. Poor kid. Poor me. ;)

Games were usually hard to watch, they didn't win one.

But like I said, Roman can catch a ball and he did catch quite a few passes and interceptions.

 

I even caught a great pass on film.




Roman loves football. I know he'd probably like to play tackle football but I don't know how I feel about that. If he plays tackle he won't be able to play soccer, and all the hitting.... I like flag football.

That said... he could have really used a helmet on this one:

He got a pretty good shiner at practice one day... Of course it was the practice right before team pictures. Nice. You can hardly even tell in the picture because of the dark circles under his other eye due to lost sleep and pure exhaustion.  We're recovering... slowly.

Soccer 2015

Soccer happened... That is why my eye is still twitching 23 days after the last game. 

Roman played goalie quite a bit, and forward the rest of the time. He got a few goals and got pretty good at controlling the ball, but his strength is still really his kick. He has no problem kicking the ball from the goal to past the half line. His other strength is catching the ball. He stopped many of attempted goals. Its fun to watch him improve.

 

Marisa had a good time too. She mostly just runs around after the ball, but she got some good playing in and had fun. She had a great coach that made sure they were competitive, trying to be better and having a great time.
 

Ezra didn't play (HALLELUJA!) September about put me over the edge! I don't know why, probably because it takes so much time. Oh well.... Until next time soccer.... until next time.

Outdoor Movie

Since the weather (until the last few days) has been unusually warm this fall, we took advantage and made a little outdoor movie theater one Friday night.

We pulled out all our bean bags, popped some popcorn and watched chicken little out on our deck.

What a fun night to spend as a family.
