Christmas 2023

Christmas has been a little different this year. No one has been very excited about it. I guess they all can't be the best, and it wasn't bad at all, just not very exciting or festive. I have some ideas in storage to help with next year.

It's all good. The kids helped decorate.

Grandma sent a puzzle to work on each day up till Christmas

The kids decorated a gingerbread house.

We opened the traditional pajamas

Despite our pleas, we were up at 7 am to open presents.

The kids got almost everything they asked for

We got to talk to Roman

New year was fun and relaxing. Having new years eve on a Sunday made the options cut back but we did the traditional movies, puzzles, food and staying up till midnight. It was fun.

It was a lovely day.  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Concert

Marisa had her Christmas violin concert. She did great! I can't believe how much she has improved and how grown up she is getting!

1st Snow

It snowed. Maybe only once this season so far. Ezra gathered all the snow from our front yard and made a fort.

Celebrity Cruise 2.0

Shane and I went on another celebrity cruise. It was great! I mean, as far as cruise lines go, it a solid contender but maybe not my favorite.

I will say that we get a great deal on a balcony room and I'm completely spoiled for a balcony now. I can just sit out there all day, or until I get cold. I like to sleep with the door open too which is frowned upon but oh well.

The weather was  great.  I spent as much time as my skin would allow in the sun.

we went to the silent disco which was fun.

In Cabo we went to the beach and shopped. I like Cabo, but we need to find something new to do there if we go again. I think a catamaran or a parasailing activity would be pretty great. Both are much more expensive than walking to the free beach and shopping along the way.

Our cruise also stopped in San Diego. It was cool to be right next to some military ships.

We rode the train to old town and had some good Mexican food and walked around the area.

All in all it was a great time. I love how relaxing a cruise is. I love going somewhere warm and lounging around the pool.
