While we waited for our room to get ready, we went to Silverton Casino to check out their giant fish tank.
Then we headed over to Ethel M. Chocolate Factory and cactus garden.
We finally checked in a played in the pool. It was about 5 degrees too cold for swimming but we did our best anyway.

The next afternoon, we walked the strip. The Flamingo:
Conservatory at the Bellagio
And my absolute favorite.... the fountains at The Bellagio
Dinner at Pin-up Pizza, unless you are buying a drink or gambling, you will not find a place to sit in Las Vegas.
M&M world was a hit
We managed to swim 30 or so minutes at a time every day.
The next day we drove to things that were a little further out. Circus Circus:
The Stratosphere, where we took a ride to the top where we rode the Big Shot. Quite the view!
We had lunch at Checkers. Ezra wanted to play on that big plastic burger but it was SO gross.
From there we went to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Its a small warehouse full of pinball machines both old and new. This place was so funny. Or, rather, the people that worked there were so funny. Pinball is not a quiet game and this little warehouse is packed completely full of pinball machines. Even with a small crowd, it's kind of loud in there. So...we were just playing games and talking to each other, but you had to kind of speak up to hear each other.
Well, one of the guys who worked there came up to Marisa and asked her where her mother was. I was standing right there and he turns to me and says... "I am going to have to remind you that we all need to use our inside voices and and not our playground voices when we are in here. Your kids are being too loud." I was flabbergasted! Seriously? For one thing. Marisa couldn't be too loud if she wanted to. Second, You couldn't talk to your neighbor without using your "playground voice" the guy was nuts!.....Wow!
Anyway, It was a fun way to waste a few quarters.
That evening, we headed to Fremont Street. We saw the canopy, a million dollars cash, The world's largest gold nugget, the Container Park, Gold and Silver Pawn.
The last day, we saw a little more of the strip and went to the Nathan Burton Magic Show.
It was a fun little trip and so nice to be warm and wear shorts for a change. Just what was needed to get through the last two months of school.
