Marisa's performance group was so lucky in that they were able to perform at Disneyland this year.
All the kids and I were able to go. Shane decided it wasn't worth the money for him to go.
We had a great time and played as hard as we could for three days straight and came home really really tired.
Marisa's group played so well.
We were able to ride all the rides we wanted to (Except splash mountain because it was closed).
It was fun to be there with kids that are old enough to get themselves around because we could divide and conquer and join single rider lines a little bit although we mostly stuck together.
Oh I'm really enjoying my kids at this age. I'm so glad we could go spend some fun times together.
I know it will likely be a long time before we go back if we ever do, but I'm glad we were able to go. We were incredibly lucky that they stopped requiring masks in most places just before we got there. I mean, I can do it, but we're out of the habit and it's difficult.
The first day we started in California Adventure because that is where Marisa performed.
We thought maybe we could get a ride in before she had to be at her meeting place, but we went the wrong way to get in the web slingers ride and the line was HUGE by the time we found it. So we hurried over to Radiator Springs Racers. That line was huge too but we naively thought we might have time.
Marisa and I had to bail after over an hour of waiting. The boys stuck it out... Two and a half hours!!! I was able to meet them just before they got on. What a joke! Marisa was sad she missed it and I didn't know what the end of the day would bring so I paid for a fast pass. I later learned that that too was a mistake. The single rider line is awesome at the end of the day and one evening we ended up riding over and over just going that route. Oh well. Live and learn.

The second day we had the whole day to play uninterrupted. We got a lot in. We ran to the Star Wars ride first thing because I hate waiting in lines that are more than an hour long and that line is always 1.5 to 3 hours long. It was a really cool ride, but I don't know that anything is worth a line like that.
The last day Marisa had a workshop so the boys went into Disneyland and I walked everywhere on my poor little tired feet. We took another afternoon break and went back for the evening where we were able to get in a lot of rides at the end of the day.
