Here's the thing. They turn 16 then you blink and they are graduated and ready to move on. I'm not kidding. It was lightning fast!
She managed a 4.0 and did it in style and had some fun too. Such a little smarty pants! I know she's nervous about what's next but she'll do great with that too, I just won't have a front row seat. I'll be in the nose bleeds. :(
Marisa graduated from Seminary. It may not be an academically challenging thing to do, but it takes some grit, commitment, faith and obedience and there's plenty of kids who don't do it. I'm so proud of her!
This May was a busy one. They are always busy, but this was just seemed extra somehow. And yet, the bulk of my pictures (besides graduation) are things at Costco, screenshots of random things, random work pictures and pictures of the sky because, gosh darn-it! I want to capture some aurora borealis.... One of the these days.
Anyway, out of all that, there's really probably only two post worth things in there. Concerts (I'll put those here) and Gradation. That get's it's own post.
Ezra had back to back concerts at school. One for guitar class and one for orchestra. I think the double dose of the teacher that teaches both about killed him as he's not taking either next year. Can't say I blame him.
The guitar concert was fun. I think he enjoyed it
The Orchestra concert was good too. They played songs from Movies.
He'll probably never play a cello again. That makes me sad.
He will most definitely play a guitar again. He's obsessed.
I don't write about it much but in case you didn't know, I'm a school secretary. It is the best job! There is never a dull moment. And I work with the best people.
I need to write down more of my stories because there are so many good ones.
The kids say the funniest things and call me the funniest things. I get called tall teacher, principal, office and occasionally secretary or Mrs. Betts.
This secretaries day I was given this fun little note. Knowing who it came from makes it even funnier but it's still pretty good.
It was only a couple days earlier that I told her she could call her mom because it looked like her eye was having a little bit of an allergic reaction. There was no goop and she had just been outside. I really didn't think much of it but this particular child can be sometime difficult to convince that she's fine. So I let her call home.
When mom answered she said "mom! the office says I have pink eye." WHAT!? I DID NOT! The stinker!
Anyway, the bottom of the note says "I wasn't resting, I was reading captain underpants"
I am a thirty-something mom of three who is sometimes leaping and sometimes dragging myself through life as a mom of three. I love being at home with my kids. Even when it's rough, I would not want to be anywhere else in the world.
Besides caring for my children, sewing, gardening and running, I love writing about it all and sharing it with you.
My husband, the "editor in chief" of this blog is by my side and puts up with all my crazy ideas. Including this blog.
Welcome to my life... in a nutshell.
