Roman and Mia's turn

Roman and Mia took a turn going to Ohio to visit the grandparents. Here are some of their pictures:

It was a short trip because they have jobs and adult responsibilities but I'm glad Roman got to go share some core childhood memories with Mia.

300,000

We bought this car the day I got my first real job after graduating.  It was not new then and I think it had close to 140,000 miles.

We just flipped it again. It's currently held together with duct tape, air conditioner doesn't work and there's a trick to just about everything. Every side of the car has been hit, repaired and repainted so the roof is pink but the rest of the paint is still shiny red. It has been stolen and recovered, It gets 40+ MPG and it's a good little car that has saved us a lot of money.

Summit Attempt #2

Marisa pointed at the hut at the top of Timp when we hiked there in June and said "I want to go there"

So we did.. In July when we didn't have hike across a big swath of snow.  It worked out great! This time we took the Timpanookee trail which is my preferred trail.

We saw moose and goats and got sore muscles and a few less blisters than the time before. The wildflowers were NUTS! It was like a giant bouquet! Gorgeous

Crazy Marisa did it again with friends in August. I stayed home.

Idaho?

So I went to Idaho for my niece Bailey's baby shower. I ended up catching a wild kitten and spent way too much time in the bathroom where we had locked it up in an attempt to tame it. It was SO sweet and we were so close to just bringing it home, but I'm glad I didn't (I think) But my goodness, by the end of three days he was almost too affectionate. He always wanted to be in your face!

Other than the cat though. I got a picture of the changed landscape at sunset and the spread at the shower. We decorated cookies, shopped and cooked and enjoyed the company.

Despite the lack of pictures, we had a great time as always.
